Question 1

What is PaperTether?

Accepted Answer

PaperTether is in development as a way to organize vendor paperwork and keep track of document dates. Vendor document tracking, date reminders, and compliance packets are planned; they are not currently available in the product.

Question 2

Who is PaperTether intended for?

Accepted Answer

The planned workflow is intended for small U.S. contractors, homeowners associations (HOAs), and property managers who need a clearer way to keep vendor documents organized.

Question 3

Which vendor documents are in scope?

Accepted Answer

The planned document scope includes insurance certificates (COIs), business licenses, W-9s, and lien waivers. The product is still in development, so this list describes intended scope rather than a currently available tracking feature.

Question 4

How is vendor document tracking intended to work?

Accepted Answer

The planned workflow is to keep documents associated with a vendor, track relevant dates, and make it easier to see which records may need attention. Date reminders and vendor document tracking are still planned and are not currently available.

Question 5

Can PaperTether send date reminders now?

Accepted Answer

No. Date reminders are planned functionality, not a feature currently available. Their timing and delivery method have not been promised, so do not rely on PaperTether for an expiration notice or deadline reminder.

Question 6

What is a planned compliance packet?

Accepted Answer

A planned compliance packet is an organized collection of vendor documents intended to make review or sharing easier. Compliance packets are not currently available, and a packet would not certify that a vendor meets legal, contractual, insurance, or property requirements.

Question 7

Is PaperTether available to use today?

Accepted Answer

PaperTether is in development. Vendor document tracking, date reminders, and compliance packets are planned rather than currently available.

Question 8

Does PaperTether guarantee legal compliance or document delivery?

Accepted Answer

No. PaperTether makes no legal, compliance, or delivery guarantees and does not provide legal advice. People responsible for a property, project, or vendor relationship must determine which documents are required and review their contents and status themselves.
